This hospital was previously running under the administrative control of SITE Ltd. Later was purchased on 09 – 03 – 1976 by Sindh Employees Social Security Institution. SESSI is responsible for the medical care provision of 1,000,000 workers and 8,000,000 dependents. Medical care is dispensed through its different dispensaries/ Medical Centers and 5 hospitals out of which K.V.S.S. SITE hospital is the biggest. Secured Workers and their Dependents from all over Sindh are being referred to this hospital through SESSI dispensaries located on West, Central and South districts of Karachi. Besides many patients from the interior of Sindh and District East are also referred to this hospital.

The main objective of this hospital is to provide all sorts of medical facilities to the insured laborers, their dependents & Institution’s employees.

This hospital is located at Main Manghopir Road and spread over ten acres of land. It possesses all required facilities and sufficient fund is allocated every year to provide better medical care to the secured workers and staff members of the Institution. It provides specialist care for patients in the specialties of General Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, ENT, EYE, Psychiatry, Chest, Skin, Neurology, Cardiology and Paediatrics which are staffed by full time and highly qualified specialists. About 600 – 1,000 patients call for OPD treatment everyday in various departments and about 100 to 200 patients are treated internally in the IPD daily. The average daily IPD being 60-100 patients. Prior to the taking over by Social Security this hospital had a capacity to accommodate 30 patients only but now IPD strength has increased to 350 beds.
