Ex-Gratia Award

In addition to the above cash benefits, the Institution may provide a lump-sum payment of Ex-Gratia for betterment of ill health and welfare of secured worker and for rehabilitation of disabled and injured secured worker in the following manner:

  • 500/- by the concerned Directorate.
  • 5,000/- by the Commissioner SESSI.
  • More than Rs.5,000/- by the Governing Body SESSI.

 

PAYMENTS TO AUTHORISED AGENTS

If a secured worker is unable to attend the Pay Office to collect any Cash Benefit, he may authorize someone else to draw his / her benefit on his / her behalf. The person so authorized on Form B-18 has to produce R-5 card / Benazir Mazdoor Card of the secured worker to receive the Cash Benefit.

 

JOB SECURITY

According to Section-76 of the SESS Act 2016 (Amendment Act 2018);

 

  • No employer shall dismiss or discharge or punish to an employee during the period in which the employee is in receipt of medical care, sickness / injury / maternity benefits.

 

  • No notice of dismissal or discharge or reduction given to an employee during the period of medical care, sickness / injury / maternity benefits, shall be valid or operative.
